The Canon EOS100 QD Black Body Only – 35mm Film Camera S/N 1180615 is a 35 mm autofocus SLR camera released by Canon in 1991. It was targeted at advanced amateur photographers.
The features were near-silent film winding, input of EOS barcode programs, integral auto-zoom flash, twin input dials, an autofocus auxiliary light for low-contrast subjects, a maximum shutter speed of 1/4000s, and five fully automatic modes. It is fitted with the Quartz Date back, but this function only covers dates up to the 2000’s.
The EOS 100QD is a polycarbonate body with metal lens mount. The inbuilt motor drive also enabled the camera to operate at three frames per second. It also has multiple exposure mode, that feature of up to 9 exposures on the one photo. Light metering consists of a full-aperture through-the-lens metering system. It has an integrated retractable TTL flash with red-eye reduction.
