The Deity V-Mic D3 Pro Shotgun Microphone is a supercardioid on-camera shotgun microphone offering directional audio capture, adjustable gain and filtering, and broad device compatibility for videographers, YouTubers, and sound recordists. A stepless dial on the mic’s bottom provides up to 20 dB of gain for easy optimization of levels. Activate the onboard low-cut filter at 75 Hz or 150 Hz to reduce rumble and bass buildup.
The pre-polarized condenser capsule utilizes a supercardioid polar pattern, which yields low off-axis coloration, high SPL handling, and a high signal-to-noise ratio. Boasting a 50 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range with low noise and distortion, the V-Mic D3 Pro adheres to the demanding standards of high-resolution recording.
It is powered primarily by the internal 51-hour rechargeable battery; plug-in power (bias voltage) from your camera or mixer is only required to turn on/off the mic. The lightweight aluminum body is finished in a low-reflection paint, ensuring that it won’t weigh down your camera or induce distracting glare. The V-Mic D3 Pro includes a foam windscreen to minimize noise from wind or HVAC systems.

Inside the V-Mic D3 Pro lives a microprocessor that digitally shakes hands with the audio input it’s been plugged into. The D3 Pro will work with a phone, tablet, DSLR, body pack transmitters; just about anything with a 3.5mm microphone jack.
Deity has tested it on a dozen DSLR models, two dozen phones, a handful of Android based tablets, and the microphone inputs on laptops. When plugged into devices that have a stereo microphone input, the V-Mic D3 Pro outputs dual mono tracks. It can also be adapted to some microphone inputs that use the mini XLR jack*.
The World’s Only Microphone with a Stepless Gain Knob
The V-Mic D3 Pro features a +20dB step-less analog gain adjustment dial. On each side of the dial the V-Mic D3 Pro features a bump guard that helps prevent the dial from being accidentally rotated. The +20dB of gain is added on a linear scale so you can dial in the exact amount of gain you need for the shot
Internal Battery
Inside the V-Mic D3 Pro lives a 320mAh Lithium Ion battery. Run time for the V-Mic D3 Pro is 51 hours and a standby time of 74hrs. The battery is charged in a little less than 2 hrs
On-Board Low Cut Filters
The V-Mic D3 Pro features two levels of low cut: 75hz and 150hz.

Rycote Shock Mount
Deity partnered with Rycote to design this unique, one of a kind on-camera shock mount. The design allows you to mount the D3 Pro how ever you want: forward, middle, back. This means you can center it over your camera for perfect balance when using a gimbal. Underneath the hot shoe you will find a threaded female mounting point so you can mount it with a friction arm and use the V-Mic D3 Pro as a plant mic.
