Engineered with the precision that users have come to expect from the brand, the Trinovid utilizes the original Uppendahl prism configuration that enables the optical tubes to made shorter and thinner so they fit comfortably in the hand and take up less space. P40 phase-correcting prism coatings, combined with Leica’s HighLux system, limit internal light-loss and eliminate interference for improved clarity, sharpness, and contrast. The objective lenses are fully multi-coated with their HDC coatings for maximum light transmission through the optical path to ensure accurate color fidelity and high-contrast views, especially in challenging lighting conditions. These technologies work together, and complement each other, to produce an immersive observational experience with bright images that are clear and sharp across its entire wide field of view. The wide 63° apparent angle of view helps to minimize the appearance of the distracting handshake that is common when holding higher-power optics such as this adding to the immersive observational experience presented by these binoculars.
Built to withstand the rigors of the outdoors, the chassis is made of a lightweight and durable aluminum-alloy that has been anodized in elegant black and finished with black leather details that add to the elegant appearance while providing slip-resistance when held. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof, and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes or conditions. A generous interpupillary adjustment range, broad ±4 dioptric correction, comfortable 15mm eye relief, and four-position click-stop eyecups ensure easy and precise use by most people.
