Rugged and Durable
The binoculars are waterproof (up to 1m for 10 minutes) and nitrogen purged allowing it to retain its imaging performance even when there are bad weather conditions. The all-new exterior design now sports rubber armoring that provides a better form of shock resistance while at the same time, gives the users a firm, comfortable grip. The body of the Monarch 8×42 DCF Binoculars is made with fiberglass-reinforced polycarbonate resin, keeping it lightweight and convenient to be carried around.

Nikon added dielectric high-reflective multilayer prism coating to ensure superior light transmittance and uniformity across the visible range. The resulting image is brighter and crisper. All lenses and prisms are also multilayer-coated and the roof prisms are phase-correction-coated. The high-reflection mirror-coating on the prisms further enhanced the brightness and the color of the images.
Comfort and Usability
The high-eyepoint design provides a clear field of view, even for eyeglass wearers. The turn-and-slide rubber eyecups make it easier to position the eyes at the correct eyepoint. The Nikon Monarch 12×42 DCF Binoculars comes with a wide strap and a flip-down objective lens cap. You can add a tripod adaptor if you wish to mount it on a tripod.
