Nikon MB-D12 Multi Power Battery Pack for D800 (VFC00201)
The Nikon MB-D12 is ergonomically designed for improved grip with the camera in the vertical shooting position and is powered by eight AA-size standard batteries. Features an alternative shutter-release button, multi-selector and AF start buttons for use when holding the camera in the vertical shooting position, as well as secondary main- and sub command dials.
The MB-D12 grip adds a set of vertical controls, including a duplicate shutter release and front/rear dials to the D800. It also expands the power options of the camera, and allows the D800 to achieve its maximum frame rate of 6fps in DX format (15.3MP) mode. Nikon D4 owners interested in the D800 as a second body have the option of running the camera using the D4’s EN-EL18 battery, which will fit the MB-D12 grip via an optional adapter.
