Large high resolution digital viewfinder
Utilising a larger viewfinder than many DSLRs physically double the size, the integrated 1.44 megapixel Digital Viewfinder features advanced aspherical optics, 1.14x magnification and 100% field of view. The Olympus E-M10 immerses you fully into the creative process through an intuitive ‘What You See Is What You Get’ experience. Exposure, colour and filter effects are seen live, not after the picture has been taken.
3 axis image stabilisation for clear photos
The E-M10 borrows the same VCM (voice coil motor) stabilisation mechansim from the flagship EM-1 and allows for the stabilisation of three separate axes. Pitch and Yaw axes are stabilised, resulting in a steady handheld shooting experience while a stabilised rolling axis ensures that even slow handheld shutter speeds can be used in poorer lighting environments. Stabilisation of the image is seen once the camera’s focus has been confirmed. The IS system found in the E-M10 allows for stabilisation of up to 3.5 EV steps.
Award winning 16 megapixel LiveMOS sensor
The E-M10 utilises the award winning imaging sensor utilised in the E-M5 ensuring outstanding clarity. It provides maximum sensitivities of up to 25600 ISO. Fantastic results can even be had in a wide variety of lighting conditions allowing for clean image output in both captured detail and colour in well lit and dark shooting environments.
Flagship TruePic VII advanced image processor
The E-M10 takes the latest and most advanced processor from Olympus’ flagship model, the E-M1. Pushing the boundaries of what is possible through image processing, the TruePic VII processor allows for the correction of chromatic aberration often seen in difficult lighting conditions and wide angle lenses; as well as the compensation of diffraction degradation often seen when stopping down lenses to smaller apertures. This allows for the TruePic VII processor to produce images that are consistently sharp when either stopped down or shooting at optimal apertures. TruePic VII heralds in a new era of imaging excellence for both macro and landscape photographers alike.
8 frames per second sequential shooting rate
High readout speeds and extremely quick image processing enables the E-M5 the ability to shoot sequentially up to a speed of nine frames per second. Ultra high resolution touch screen
A brilliant OLED screen with an ultra high resolution of over 1 million pixels provides crystal clear LiveView and image playback. Touchscreen control enables one-touch tap shooting with autofocusing as well as touch-enabled playback control. The tilt-mechanism enables an upwards angle of 80 degrees and downwards of 50 degrees.
Wireless connectivity with full manual control
The E-M10 allows for complete wireless control over the camera’s shooting parameters in P, A, S & M modes. When utilising Olympus’ OI Share app for iOS & Android, users gain the ability to control the shutter of the E-M1 wirelessly as well as its other parameters such as shutter speed, aperture, White Balance and ISO. Also available via the OI Share app are Live BULB, Live Time and Live Composite for users who like long exposure photography. Users can simply define focus of the image by utilising the touchscreen on their smart device. The latest version of OI Share also allows for the wireless device to be utilised as a remote trigger alone whilst allowing users to still change their settings on their camera.
