This new device maintains the core principles of the previous DS-2500 – offering users a basic software package alongside a high-quality recording device. However, the new DS-2600 now offers Slide Switch Control functionality. Slide Control operation allows users to dictate in a familiar analogue style using a single wear-free slide control. This feature has previously been exclusive to top-end dictation machines alongside other features such as Encryption and Automated Email Sending. The all-new Olympus DS-2600 voice recorder is the very first machine to offer users top-end slide control functionality at an entry-level cost.
