Designed for the nature enthusiast who wants to pack light without sacrificing image quality, the Pentax 8×25 A-Series AD WP Compact Binocular delivers bright, clear images while weighing in at just 10.6 ounces. Their BAK4 roof prisms are phase-corrected to improve image contrast and enhance colour rendition. All of the optics are anti-reflection and fully multi-coated to maximize light transmission, producing the brightest views possible.
An asymmetrical hinge design enables the binocular to be folded up much smaller than typical centre-hinged optics. In order to cut weight, the housing is made of corrosion- and impact-resistant fibreglass-reinforced polycarbonate polymer. The material is also temperature resistant, allowing for its use in extreme climates while reducing expansion and contraction that wide temperature swings can cause (and which can make the optical components move out of collimation over time). Its optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed, making them submersible to 3.3′ as well as fogproof in all weather conditions.

PENTAX Waterproofing
PENTAX waterproof products are fully sealed and purged with laboratory-grade nitrogen to provide a fog proof view in the harshest weather conditions. With a JIS Class 6 rating, PENTAX waterproof binoculars can even be submerged in up to 3 feet of water.
Inner Focus Optics Design
This sophisticated optical design is critical to low-maintenance and long-life guarantee. Exposure to airborne particles and moisture is avoided, thereby ensuring that no outside influences can penetrate the housing and disrupt functionality.
Nitrogen purged
Nitrogen is a chemical element and a colourless, odourless and tasteless gas. It contains very little humidity and is therefore used to “purge” binoculars and spotting scopes of the high humidity air that is part of our environment. Due to the low humidity factor, nitrogen prevents condensation from forming on the internal lenses of optical instruments during phases of rapid temperature change. Furthermore, because nitrogen is purged into the optical instrument at slightly above atmospheric pressure, dust and other minuscule particles are prevented from entering the housing.
Long eye relief design
The long eye relief offered in all PENTAX Sport Optics allows the viewer to see the entire field of view clearly and effortlessly. This is especially beneficial to eyeglass wearers and allows viewing for extended periods of time without added eye strain.
