The free Portacapture Control app, offered on iOS and Android platforms, provides convenient access to the recorder’s transport functions, gain, mix adjustments, and other parameters, even when the recorder is at a distance—with a maximum Bluetooth range of 1m, depending on conditions. This app-based integration makes producing videos, podcasts, songs, and location audio faster and easier.
With the AK-BT1 Bluetooth dongle, the X6, X8, or DR-10L Pro is ready to wirelessly sync timecode with supported Atomos products, including the Ultrasonic Blue. Timecode allows videographers to perfectly align audio recordings with video, even when there is no audio on the camera.
