The Thunder Battery Isolator is a user-programmable electronic isolator that will allow the auxiliary battery to be charged using the vehicle’s charging system. The batteries are connected and isolated depending on the levels set by the user. This means that once the start battery reaches a predetermined voltage (default is 13.7V), the Thunder Battery Isolator will connect the batteries and the auxiliary battery will start receiving a charge. The batteries will remain connected until the main battery voltage drops below the chosen level (default is 12.8V).
Protect your start battery from excessive discharge and allow your auxiliary battery to supply non-essential loads when you simultaneously charge two batteries from your alternator.
