This pre-owned Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM Lens is arguably Canon’s best value "L" Lens, combining professional grade build and optical qualities that deliver top images without as much bulk, weight or expense as a comparable f/2.8 zoom would.

Being an L series lens and solidly built, the 70-200 f/4L is relatively light (25 oz / 705g). It is light and small compared to the much more substantial Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8L Lens or the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens. This lens can be carried for long periods of time but has a high-quality, solid feel. Ideal for many types of photography with its extensive zoom range, anything is possible, from wedding photography to sports, wildlife, and even portrait photography from a distance. The inner-focusing system on the 70-200mm L USM lens makes sure that each photo is clear and in-focus the first time.

Being an L series lens, maximum attention was given to sharpness, colour reproduction, & bokeh by the designers. Its optical system consists of 16 elements in 13 groups; Two Ultra Low Dispersion UD glass elements and one Flourite glass element are placed to maximize image quality. All lens elements are free of lead.

The constant f/4 maximum aperture allows reasonable background blur, and with advancements in camera ISO noise levels, fast shutter speeds are getting easier to find. Weighing in at just over a pound and a half, user fatigue is lessened, and hand-held photography becomes easier. An optional rotating lens tripod mount is available as a separate accessory to purchase and greatly aids vertical shooting from either a tripod or monopod.

It is ideal for anyone who wants fast autofocus, and Canon delivers it with an internal focus system connected to a ring-type Ultrasonic Motor. The focus mechanism is designed to provide the photographer with the option of instant manual focus override without touching the lens AF control button. Manual focus override works full-time (even without power to the lens). The zoom and focus grips have different patterns and widths to aid tactile differentiation. A focus limit switch allows the selection of a narrower 3-meter to infinity focus range to significantly reduce autofocus time as closer focussing distances occupy an amount of focus travel that is proportionally much greater than in farther focus distances. The full focus range of the lens is 1.2 meters to infinity.

As a member of the esteemed L-series, this lens is sealed against dust and moisture for working in inclement environmental conditions.
