This near-mint pre-owned Canon EF25 II Extension Tube is your inexpensive entry into Macro photography.
The Canon ETEF 25II Extension Tube is the distance from the back of the lens to the film surface, which means you can take photographs at shorter distances to the subject. Extension tubes are thus commonly used for macro photography and sometimes for close-up portraits.
When using the camera’s TTL metering system, exposure compensation is not required (it is required for handheld meters).
This updated version II is now also fully compatible with Canon Digital EF-S lenses and standard photo EF and TS-E lenses. .
Extension Tube EF 25 II is recommended for lenses with a focal length of 50mm and up (EF-S 18-55mm can be used at middle and tele zoom settings).
The extension tubes have no optics. They are mounted in between the camera body and lens to create more distance between the lens and film plane. Moving the lens farther away from the film or CCD sensor in the camera forces the lens to focus much closer than normal. The greater the extension tube length, the closer the lens can focus.
It can be used singly or in combination with other extension rings to vary the reproduction ratio of lenses..
