This clean, preowned Canon EOS 100 QD  was released in 1991 by Canon and is a 35mm Film SLR camera.

This was the world’s first AF SLR camera that incorporated the silent operation concept.

With its bright viewfinder and the newly-developed silent mechanisms to reduce film advance noise and rewind noise by one-eighth to one-half the level of previous models. For example, it was a boom for those wanting to take discrete photos at weddings. The EOS 100 QD built-in flash’s coverage adjusts automatically (auto zoom) to suit the lens focal length. For those shooting portraiture, it has Red-eye reduction and flash exposure compensation. The Quick Control Dial on the camera back also enables real-time exposure compensation adjustment while you look through the viewfinder. It was a feature-laden, mid-class multi-mode 35mm AF SLR.

The shutter-speed dial provides speeds from 30 sec. to 1/4000 sec., with  Bulb for long exposures. Night. Flash X-sync is at 1/125 sec. The ISO selection permits metering for film speeds between 6 and 6400, which is perfect for any versatile photographer. Camera Modes include Manual metering, aperture and shutter priority AE, program AE with various modes including Green Zone Full Auto mode, Intelligent program, DOF AE, Flash AE (TTL and A-TTL) and PIC (Programmed Image Control) modes Portrait, Landscape, Close-up and Sports Modes.

Metering patterns are a 6-zone evaluative, centre-weighted averaging and 6.5% partial of the central image area. Built-in autozoom flash has a GN 39-56 when used with a 28-80mm lens; it has a red-eye reduction, AF auxiliary light, flash sync at 1/125, and self-timer. The built-in motor drive provides auto film advance (3 fps) and rewind.  It has Multi-exposure capability. Mirror lock-up and Depth Of Field preview are available with custom functions. 

There is also a Panorama switch on the back to allow cropped panorama photos. These extra-long panoramic photos can be printed at most photo processing stores. Ideal for showcasing Land and/or Seascape shots.
