This very clean, pre-owned Canon EF 2x II Extender is designed exclusively for select Canon L Series EF mount lenses. It is an easy and very affordable way to dramatically extend the reach of compatible Lenses.
This Canon EF 2x II Extender mounts between the compatible lens and body and multiplies the focal length settings of your lens by 2x but decreases/narrows your lens’ aperture setting by 2 stops. As an example, the Canon 2x makes a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS Lens into a 140-400mm f/5.6 IS lens. The minimum focusing distance remains unchanged.
The compatible lenses retain both autofocus and IS features. Its moisture-proof and Dust-Resistant Construction with a sturdy, durable barrel design is perfect for these larger lenses. Please note that it is weather-sealed when used with similarly weather-sealed lenses and camera bodies.
Canon Extender Lens Compatibility
This extender is only compatible with fixed-focal-length L-series lenses 135mm and over, including the EF 70-200/2.8L, EF 70-200/2.8L IS, EF 70-200/4L, and EF 100-400/4.5-5.6L. The AF compatibility also depends on the combination of the above lenses and D- SLR body type
**Canon EF Extenders are designed for use with several telephoto and zoom EF lenses. They do not work with EF-S or EF-M lenses.
