It is a beautiful lens made from solid brass. The barrel is titanium-coated to the highest standard. Only 500 pieces were produced worldwide. The lens has 7 elements and 5 groups. Bright f/2 maximum aperture benefits working in difficult lighting conditions. One aspherical element is featured in the optical design to reduce spherical aberrations and distortion for increased sharpness and clarity. The front of the lens has 39mm-diameter threads to accept optional filters. It has smooth out-of-focus rendering when working with selective focus and shallow depth-of-field techniques. Despite its wide-angle focal length and fast maximum aperture, this manual focus lens remains relatively compact, which benefits its use as an everyday, go-to lens for M shooters.
