This Nikon F mount Velvet 56mm f/1.6 SE Lens from Lensbaby produces a uniquely soft, glowing image quality that is well-suited to making expressive and ethereal portraits.Plus, focus up close on Velvet’s macro capabilities. The Velvet 56 is a 56mm f/1.6 manual focus lens. When used at bright apertures, Velvet 56 creates an ethereal glow over your entire image, from edge to edge. At darker apertures, the glow lessens and dissipates entirely by f/5.6, leaving a tack-sharp image with a film-like aesthetic and subtle softness at the edges of the frame. Velvet 56 also features a built-in 1: 2 macro capability with a minimum focus distance of 5 inches from the front of the lens. This all combines to make for a very versatile, creative shooting experience.
This Silver edition lens features a clear anodised coating, a silver-coloured metal barrel, and engraved aperture and focus markings. Manual focus is designed with a smooth, dampened focusing movement complemented by engraved focus distance indicators. Please note, that Manual exposure control requires stop-down metering and manual setting of the aperture. The filter size is 67mm . (Optional Clear protective filter is recommended but not included) For Nikon F-Mount Lens / FX Format Cameras. It can also be used with DX models where it provides a 84mm equivalent focal length.
