The Nikon AF Nikkor 70-300 mm f/ 4.5-5.6 G  is a G-type quality zoom lens with a great multiplication factor. NIKKOR G-type lenses have no aperture ring. The aperture is controlled by the camera.  It is ideal for portraiture. It has been reviewed with good results in shooting sporting events and wildlife. First released in 2005
