This Pre-owned Nikon F-601 body is a powerful mid-level autofocus 35mm SLR camera released by Nikon in the early 90s, which was fitted with the improved autofocus and spot metering system, which is the mainstay of their semi-pro F-801s. With a built-in wide-angle flash, a motor drive, three light meters, predictive autofocus and an array of other features, this camera represents excellent value for money.

The body is sleek and light whilst packing many cool features like various ""programs"" (ranging from manual operation to a highly automated point-and-shoot mode). A clear advantage of using this camera series as your film body, if you are already a Nikon DSLR user, is that they will take on all Nikon F lenses you already own. Almost all AF Nikkor lenses can be used on the F-601, and so can all the Ai and AI-S lenses, which you can’t do Autofocusing with, Program Auto and Shutter Priority Auto shooting modes, and Matrix Metering. Everything is automatic if you want it to be. For example, the wide-angle flash will pop up at the touch of the button and be ready for use. This flash offers a wide lens coverage down to 28mm.

The Nikon F-601 has an electromagnetically controlled focal plane shutter with speeds from 30 seconds to 1/2000 seconds and battery-powered B mode. Flash sync is at a maximum of 1/125 a sec.

The self-timer is electronic and can be set in 1-sec increments from 2 to 30 seconds, and a two-shot mode with a 5-second delay between the first and second.

It has a Quartz Date back to record the day and date or time of when your photos were taken, but the date only goes up to 2019.
