 This well-used pre-owned Nikon PK-13 Auto Extension Tube provides 27.5mm of extension and can be used with any Nikon SLR lens longer than 50mm or with a reversed 50mm lens (using a reverse adapter).

It provides perfect coupling and retains both AI aperture and meter coupling. However, it does not support autofocus (AF) operation.

Extension tubes enable a lens to focus closer than its normal set minimum focusing distance. Getting closer magnifies your subject (making it appear larger in the viewfinder and in your pictures). They are exceptionally useful for macro photography, enabling you to convert almost any lens into a macro lens at a fraction of the cost while maintaining its original optical quality.

The extension tubes have no optics. They are mounted in between the camera body and lens to create more distance between the lens and film plane. Moving the lens farther away from the film or CCD sensor in the camera forces the lens to focus much closer than normal. The greater the extension tube length, the closer the lens can focus.

It can be used singly or in combination with other extension rings to vary the reproduction ratio of lenses from 20 to 300mm.

The PK-13 provides a reproduction ratio of 1:1 when used with the Micro-Nikkor 55mm f/2.8 lens.

Please Note: The exposure meter does not work with D90, D60, D3000, or D5000, and G-type lenses cannot be used. It supports AF-S lenses only in manual mode.
