This clean, preowned Used Nikon SB-80DX Speedlight SN:32114488 has a rated guide number of 38 m at ISO 100 and 35mm. It gives you the power to shoot from 50 feet away with slow film or bounce off the ceiling with power to spare. It gives you coverage for most lenses from 105mm to the top end; the SB-80DX can zoom to 24mm (14mm and 17mm with the fold-down adapter).

This versatile automatic flash was introduced by Nikon in 2002. The compact but powerful flash has a fast recycling time, a bright LCD screen and an easy-to-use four-way selection button.

It has TTL for synchronization with FIlm SLR and early DSLRS (D1X, etc). However, it doesn’t have the latest i-TTL system. To use the SB-80DX on the D70, simply select the non-TTL "A" mode. It works in TTL mode on digital SLR cameras like the D100 and D1H. 

The Nikon SB-80DX Speedlight is a moderately compact flash unit packed with features for high-performance on-camera lighting capabilities.

The SB-80DX Speedlight has a variety of useful tools and accessories.
First, built into the flash alongside the wide-angle diffusion panel is a white slide-out bounce card for bouncing some light directly to the subject and creating catch lights. 

It has 1/128 power mode in manual flash or the ability to set up to +3 EV flash exposure compensation. The autofocus assist lamp also works out to 33 feet (10m).

Compatible battery type(s) for the Nikon Speedlight SB80DX: AA 1.5V (Alkaline is recommended)

Note that if you have a post-D2 DSLR that uses i-TTL, the SB-80DX is not the flash you want.
