TRESMIC 3
Capture even the most subtle sounds, as is with Olympus’ advanced TRESMIC 3 microphone system. It uses two directional 90° outward-facing microphones for a natural stereo sound and a third omnidirectional microphone in the centre that excels at picking up lower-frequency bass. This microphone array delivers a wide frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz when the centre microphone is on and 60 Hz to 20 kHz when off.
This model supports linear PCM recording at bit rates up to 24 bit and sampling frequencies as high as 96 kHz – far surpassing the 44.1kHz/ 16 bit of CD-quality audio. Users can make CDs of their own recordings by selecting this bit rate and sampling frequency.
It has a Partial Erase function, which is useful for continuously recording several songs, and allows you to select and cut out the unwanted space between songs.
