A rear 3.0" 921.6k-dot touchscreen TFT LCD monitor is also available and tilts 180° up and 74° down to benefit from shooting from high and low working angles. The touchscreen design also allows for intuitive touch-to-focus control. Additionally, for wireless remote control over the camera or just sharing imagery online, built-in Wi-Fi with NFC permits linking with a mobile device for intuitive wireless control.
This A6400 is fitted with a Sony 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Lens E PZ – Black offers a versatile full-frame equivalent zoom angle of 24-75mm within a compact design. A variable aperture of f/3.5 to 5.6 helps keep the lens’s size and weight to a minimum while accommodating most use cases. When the camera is powered off, the lens retracts to just 1.25".
Quick autofocusing and improved Optical Steady Shot image stabilisation counteract handheld camera shake for sharper imagery. Four aspherical elements and one Extra-Low Dispersion element ensure high-resolution imagery throughout the zoom range. The lens supports focus pulling while shooting up to 120 fps and autofocus while zooming for intuitive single person filming with moving subjects.
