This very clean, pre-owned Sony E-mount 35mm f/1.8 OSS lens is a compact, fixed focal length lens, which is equivalent to 52.5mm in 35mm equivalency. A fast, maximum aperture of f/1.8 means it is ideal for blur-free capture of fast-moving subjects and for retaining crisp imaging in low-light environments. A quiet linear motor controls focus while an in-lens stepping motor controls the aperture. Together, they offer smooth and virtually silent lens action, which is ideal for shooting video. Direct Manual Focus is another feature that allows for fine manual focus control and is operable even in autofocus mode. Sony’s built-in Optical Image Stabilisation system provides approximately 4-stops worth of shake control, making the lens even more functional in low light conditions and great when tracking moving subjects in video.

Optical Design

Optical SteadyShot image stabilization helps to minimize the appearance of camera shake for sharper imagery when shooting handheld with slower shutter speeds. This stabilization system can be combined with select camera’s sensor-shift type image stabilization for more effective control of camera blur. An internal focus mechanism contributes to faster, more responsive autofocus, a minimum focus distance of 11.8", and easier handling as the lens does not change in length during use.
