The 100x150mm ND8 Hard-Edge Graduated ND Filter from Urth is a rectangular filter that darkens specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for normal, unaffected exposure in the remainder of the image area. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a hard-edged line of transition between the dense and clear areas. This hard-edge design is appropriate for use with images that feature a prominent horizon, or any hard transition between the sky and land, like landscapes and seascapes. This filter provides a 3-stop reduction in light from entering the lens and does not affect the colouration of the image.
